A piezoelectric composite material contains a compound which, by means of the general term bi₄Ti₃O₁₂-Srbi₄Ti₄O₁₅ as a main component is shown, as well as manganese or a manganese compound as an additive. The manganese content is less than 1,0% by weight on the basis of the amount of a principal constituent.
