The cleaner has cooling surfaces (1, 2) including horizontal or vertical or diagonally running cooling pipes and a measure in a longitudinal direction of the cooling pipes. A nozzle fitting is provided with a set of nozzles through which the cleaning operation cleaning agent and water are sprayed opposite to the cooling surfaces. The fitting overdraws the cooling surfaces to be cleaned in a direction and is moved in another direction in or on a guide over the cooling surfaces. A cleaning supply of the cooling surfaces is high upto 20 percent from a cleaning width of the fitting.
