The arrangement has a sensor i.e. capacitive sensor (19) provided with a color box roller (2) in a circulating manner. The sensor is integrated in an outer surface (5) of the color box roller. Two comb type interlinking capacitor elements lie at the outer surface, and are electrically insulated against an inking roller body (17). An electrical insulating layer i.e. ceramic coating, lies over the capacitor elements. A turning transmitter is arranged between the sensor and a color control (25) of a color dosing device for transmitting layer thickness measurement signals (s).
