The unfolding cylindrical sonar comprises a cylindrical body (1), and a group of arms (2) linked to the body. The arm is fixed to the end of bars (3), and is assembled against the body in an unfolding manner, such that the columns form a cylindrical antenna. The signal processing units are provided for processing the signals generated by the converters that are grouped to form a doublet. A summing unit is provided, which adds the output signals of the processing units for the signals delivered by the doublet.
