The device has a handle operated between an opening position and a closing position of electrical contacts, and a release lever opening the electrical contacts during an electric defect. A retractable part (7) is set to lock the electrical contacts when the retractable part is in a deployed position. An actuation lever (201) is coupled with the release lever, and cooperating with the retractable part for controlling the release of an interrupter device when the retractable part is operated towards the deployed position. An independent claim is also included for a remote control device to control an interrupter device equipped with a release lever.
