Method for optimizing performances of aircraft i.e. transport plane, in presence of lateral dissymmetry, involves determining orders for controlling rudder generating optimal skid, and applying orders to rudder
The method involves monitoring an aircraft during a flight of the aircraft, in an automatic manner, to detect a lateral dissymmetry. Parameters of flight of the aircraft are measured when the dissymmetry is detected. Positions at equilibrium of control surfaces are measured. Aerodynamic coefficients relative to the surfaces are calculated with assistance of the measured flight parameters. An optimal skid is calculated to minimize a total coefficient of drag of the aircraft. Orders are determined for controlling a rudder generating the skid. The orders are applied to the rudder. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for correcting a lateral dissymmetry of an aircraft (2) an aircraft comprising a device for optimizing performances of an aircraft.
