The prosthesis has an intermediate plate (2) resting on a tibial element (1) and receiving a femoral element. The tibial element includes a projecting stud (6) received in a cylindrical cavity arranged in the intermediate plate to guide the movement of the intermediate plate with respect to the tibial element. The stud includes a recess (7) emerging from an upper face of the stud. A boss (11) is received in the recess in an adjusted manner when the intermediate plate is supported relative to the tibial element.
