The method involves providing setting points (5) to form a support for closing paint mastic (6) and to limit its application quality. The setting points are arranged between a body side (1) and a roof (2) of a vehicle and placed at a level of an opening of cavities (31), where the cavities are formed between the body side and the roof. The setting points are realized from drying inflated mastic. The cavities are opened on an exterior of the body side. An independent claim is also included for a closing unit arrangement realized during fabrication of a vehicle.
