The device (1) has a hollow gripping part (2) elongated along a longitudinal axis (X). A rotary massage unit (3) is located in elongation of the gripping part, and rotates around a rotational axis (Y) parallel to the longitudinal axis of the gripping part. A cosmetic product container (4) is placed partially inside the gripping part. The massage unit has an axial dimension (a) ranging between 12 and 50 mm and a large transverse dimension (b) of 12 mm. A base of the gripping part comprises two spaced posts (6). The massage unit comprises a rigid insert (8) inserted in an elastomer body. An independent claim is also included for a massage method.
