The method involves adjusting a desired surface (60) to be cleaned of a windscreen (2) based on forward speed of a vehicle e.g. helicopter, where the desired surface is proportional to longitudinal direction (L1) of a scrapper (11). The desired surface is determined by a control unit (20) based on information relative to forward speed of a vehicle, where the desired surface covers minimum desired surface for ensuring unique frontal visibility to pilot. An independent claim is also included for a windscreen wiper comprising a scrapper.
