The engine (1) has a cylinder casing (2) in which two rows of cylinders are arranged, where the rows of cylinders are respectively associated with two exhaust manifolds. Association units are associated with a supercharging system and placed in an exhaust line downstream of the corresponding exhaust manifold (5). A conduit (8) is placed between the exhaust manifolds such that the supercharging system is energized by an exhaust gas provoking from the rows of cylinders and includes a thermal protection sheath. The exhaust manifolds and the conduit are screwed to each other.
