The extractor has an extraction autoclave filled with supercritical fluid under a pressure, and a receiving autoclave filled with the supercritical fluid under another pressure less than the former pressure. An unsaturable device is coupled to the extraction autoclave for maintaining concentration of a solute e.g. naphthalene, solved in a supercritical carbon dioxide bath under the former pressure at a level less than a solubility limit of the solute in the bath and a saturation limit such that the bath does not stop dissolving of the solute present in a substrate.
