The cockpit has a gripping unit attached to a hub (5) for forming a rim (6). The hub is integrated to an end of a steering column. Air distribution units i.e. vents (9, 10), distribute air inside a cab interior without interfering with a handset (7), where the handset and the vents are supported in whole or in a part by a fascia. The handset is arranged on a convex lower surface (52) of the hub. The vents are arranged symmetrically on sides of an axis of symmetry (XX ') of a steering wheel (4).
