The pin (1) has a slot (2) provided on a side of the pin and extending along entire length of the pin in a continuous manner. A narrowed portion (4) is arranged at an end of a non-narrowed segment (3). The non-narrowed segment and the narrowed portion have a noncircular section. The non-narrowed segment has an outer diameter providing width of the pin, and another outer diameter extending in a direction orthogonal to the former outer diameter. An independent claim is also included for an electric machine comprising a cavity realized by a stator.
