The system (5) has a memory unit (2) e.g. ROM, RAM and rewritable/readable non-volatile memory, containing information relating to a state of a vehicle (6), where the system has an identification function. The function permits sorting of the information and displaying the information on a screen (4) by a processor (1). The information have manufacturing data, an identity of a mark or a model of the vehicle, a year of the model, dates of next and last technical controls, number of kilometers traveled from the last revision or diagnosis and a list of revisions and interventions on the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for visualizing information on traceability of state of a vehicle.
