The method involves installing dual face connection suction cups on a worktable, and forming depression in lower faces of the cups to integrate the lower faces with the table. Upper faces of the cups are pressurized to carry out an air cushion to allow sliding of the workpiece until positioning of the workpiece in lock state. The depression is formed in the upper faces of the cups to fix the workpiece during working or machining. A curtain or fluid barrier is realized around each upper face of the cup to improve sealing. An inner suction pump and inner feed pump are operated with the cups. An independent claim is also included for a device for coupling a workpiece on a worktable of a dual face connection suction cup.
