The method involves determining positions of representative fixing points constituting of two false lock strikes (9) and two plates (10), of fixing and locking members of a body compared to a reference of the body. Construction of a theoretical retractable roof is simulated. Positions of fixing and locking points of the theoretical retractable roof is compared with the positions of the representative fixing points of complementary fixing and locking members of the body to verify compatibility of the positions with an assembly of a retractable roof.
