The adapter (1) has a tubular fixation end (12) for fixing a telescopic grip and another tubular fixation end (22) for fixing a tool. The tubular fixation ends are carried by two movable parts (20) rotated around a pivoting axis (A50) perpendicular to longitudinal axes (X10, X20) of the movable parts. A stop unit is constituted of a handle (60) and notches (71, 72) to stop the rotation of the adapter relative to the movable parts, where the movable parts comprise corresponding notched circular surfaces. An independent claim is also included for building work equipment comprising an adapter.
