The device (D) has an electrically shielded and high bandwidth connector (CX) i.e. high speed data connector, coupled to a communication module (MC) and connected to a shielded data transporting wiring harness (FE) i.e. coaxial cable, for connecting the connector to a communication node (N2) of a high bandwidth communication network (R). A line transformation unit (MT) is intercalated between the module and the connector, and assures electric protection against electrostatic discharges. A passive filtering unit (MF) is intercalated between the transformation unit and the module.
