The method involves carrying out pressured application of a metal blank (3) on a to be treated surface of a thermoplastic piece (2) during post hot forming of the surface, where contact surface of the blank has a shape corresponding to that of the surface to be treated and a surface state corresponding to required roughness that is less than predetermined threshold. The blank is heated to a set point temperature.
