The mouse (1) has a base plate and a shell (3) connected by a connection element i.e. roller. The element allows the shell to be inclined relative to the base plate. A laser-type motion sensor determines movements of the base plate relative to a support on which the mouse is moved. The shell has a body (5) carrying an accelerometer e.g. triaxial microelectromechanical systems accelerometer, rigidly connected to the body. The accelerometer determines the inclination of the shell relative to the base plate by differentiation of movements of the shell and movements of the plate.
