The device has an intelligent recyclable terminal (10) including a local data processing unit (25) connected to a recognition unit (15), a code identification unit (17), a control unit (14), an input unit (19), a memory (21) and a communication unit (23). The processing unit sends data in connection with performed deposition for transmission to compare an object identification code i.e. barcode, with a reference list and send data about identifying whether an object is a container to the communication unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for managing deposit valorization of a compactable and recyclable container.
