The process involves creating air flow that is channeled between an entry (3) of foul air charged with particles and a pure air outlet (4). Flow of the foul air is washed by pulverization of liquid to separate a part of the particles of the air flow. Another part of the particles is collected by fogging of the liquid. Agglomeration of the latter part of the particle is caused by acceleration of the air flow. The agglomerated particle is separated from the air by deceleration of the air flow. Flow of clean air is evacuated in atmosphere. An independent claim is also included for an air-cleaning device comprising a separation unit.
