The cover (1) has a seating part (12) for covering a seat of a chair, and a backrest part (14) for covering a backrest of the chair. A skirt covers spaces between feet of the chair. The backrest part forms an envelope. Textile bands are arranged on back faces of one of the seating and backrest parts for suspension of the cover at a hanger such that the backrest part is deployed as the cover is suspended at the hanger. The bands are positioned at a level of a lower flange (1321) of a rear part (132) of the skirt. An independent claim is also included for a method for treatment of a chair cover.
