The method involves glazing a cryogenic medium to the goods before filtering or screening in order to cool the goods. Nitrogen or carbon dioxide, particularly in the form of carbon dioxide pallet or carbon dioxide snow is used as cryogenic medium. The carbon dioxide pallets are added in an amount such that they support the filtering of the goods through a filter (30) by rolling on the filtered goods. An independent claim is also included for a device for cooling of goods during filtering or screening.
