The method involves determining a diffusion delay time of a sound stream on a loudspeaker of an audio source (10). A time delay corresponding to time difference between transmission of the sound stream by the source to a receiving terminal (11), and reception, processing and diffusion of the streams on a loudspeaker of the terminal is measured. A timing period corresponding to lag to be applied to diffusion of the sound stream by the terminal and/or the source is determined, where the timing delay is determined by the diffusion delay and the time delay. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a receiving terminal comprising units for establishing a wireless connection with an audio source and diffusing a sound stream transmitted by the source on a loudspeaker (2) an audio source comprising units for transmitting a sound stream to a receiving terminal and diffusing the sound stream on a loudspeaker.
