The test tubes (1) have a disk-shaped radio frequency identification (RFID) chip (3) incorporated in each tube and a tube holder (2). The chip stores an identifier of the tube, of a sample to be analyzed in the tube or an analysis process to be realized. A contactless radio frequency reading and/or writing unit reads and/or writes the identifier stored and/or to be stored in the chip, and is located in a circulation path of the tube. A joint made of flexible plastic material is inserted into inner circumference of an opening of a perforated upper plate (22) of the holder. The identifier of the tube corresponds to information representing defect of the tube, the material of the tube, and/or capacity and/or utilization period of the tube. The identifier of the sample in the tube corresponds to the information representing source, weight and/or volume of the sample. The identifier of the analysis process corresponds to the information representing the identification of chemical elements and/or specific instruments and/or obtained analysis results. An independent claim is also included for a method for utilizing test tubes in a tube holder.
