The method involves arranging a cylinder head (10) with a guiding ramp (13) emerging from a housing (11) in a cylinder head of an engine, and arranging a support washer (21) on the guiding ramp. The support washer is installed by sliding along the guiding ramp until receiving the support washer in the housing, where the support washer is slid on the guiding ramp by gravity or by a tool i.e. assembling screw. The guiding ramp is formed with the cylinder head by smelting. An abutment (14) is arranged at edge of the housing opposite the guiding ramp. An independent claim is also included for a cylinder head of an engine.
