The assembly has a flexible support (13) provided with metal particles and/or ferromagnetic particles and assembled by a magnetic assembly in a removable way. The flexible support is equipped with a magnetic potential source that generates assembly forces. A rigidity adjustment layer (12) i.e. polymeric film, is placed between a polishing element (10) and the flexible support. An adhesive (11) is utilized to ensure assembly of the polishing element and the adjustment layer. Another adhesive (14) is utilized to ensure the assembly of the adjustment layer and the flexible support. The adhesives are selected from a group containing polyurethane, acrylic resin, natural rubber and synthetic rubber. An independent claim is also included for a polishing machine, comprising a turning support.
