The assembly has an aerofoil comprising a fitting, and an engine pylon comprising a clevis fixed at the fitting by a crossing axle system (10). A holding element (14) is integrated to a lag bolt (13a) and is assembled at a blind end of an external principal axle (11) and an interior secondary axle (12). The holding element is placed in front of the fitting when the lag bolt is subjected to rotational movement. Two parts (14a, 14b) of the holding element are complementary with respect to each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing an engine pylon and aerofoil connection assembly.
