The method involves generating a new short message i.e. new short message service, containing a receipt proof request in response to reception of a message and a recipient. A determination is made whether the new short message corresponds to predefined format, and the new message is sent to the recipient. A verification is made whether the recipient is included in a list of authorized recipients. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a mobile terminal for controlling a response (2) a mobile network element for a short message transmission chain.
