A microwave resonator 1 for a textile machine, especially a card, draw frame, combing machine or the like, for attachment to a measuring device for measuring the mass and/or moisture content of textile fibre material conveyable continuously through the resonator chamber, has a housing 2 with wall elements 8(a-d), wherein through-openings 10, 11 in spaced wall elements lying opposite one another are coaxially connected by a tubular element 12 and the interior space of the housing 2 is hollow. End panels 9a,9b close the resonant cavity. In order to simplify manufacture and permit an uninterrupted resonance field, the housing 2 comprises a continuous seamless hollow profile 8 with profile walls 8(a-d) in which the tubular element 12 connects the openings 10, 11 in opposite profile walls 8a, 8b with each other.
