摘要
Holes in network coverage ("roaming locations") are detected by identifying where a mobile subscriber drops a call and initiates a new call (roams) in a foreign network. The call detail records relating to foreign network calls (roaming CDRs) are collected and the cell of the calls correlated with a registered address (e.g. home address) of the mobile subscriber. The registered address is then likely to be an area of weak network coverage if there are a number of such correlations. Spatial clusters of registered addresses corresponding to roaming CDRs can be used to identify network holes. A roaming call made within a time interval of a first call can also be used to identify holes in network coverage.
