PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of specifying a transmission line where an error has occurred, during operation of a system which transmits and receives data by using a plurality of transmission lines.SOLUTION: On the transmission side, the CRC code is calculated for each lane by using the data transmitted on that lane, and a DLLP storing the CRC code calculated for each lane is transmitted. On the reception side, the CRC code is calculated for each lane by using the data received on that lane, and when the DLLP is received, the CRC code stored in that DLLP is compared with the CRC code thus calculated for each lane. Consequently, the lane on which an error has occurred can be detected on the reception side even during operation of the system.
