PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve properly using local speech recognition and distributed speech recognition without user's consciousness of switching between local speech recognition and distributed speech recognition.;SOLUTION: A speech recognition device includes: speech input means for inputting speech; first speech recognition means for recognizing the speech inputted to the speech input means; communication means for communicating with an external server; second speech recognition means for, on the external server connected by the communication means, recognizing the speech inputted to the speech input means; remote control signal input means for inputting a remote control signal; and speech recognition switching means for switching between the first and second speech recognition means so that the speech inputted to the speech input means is recognized by the second speech recognition means in response to detection of a recognition start instruction from the remote control signal inputted to the remote control signal input means and is recognized by the first speech recognition means in response to detection of a recognition start instruction from the speech inputted to the speech input means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
