PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a robot to behave naturally in accordance with a flow of people by discriminating the state of a flow of a representative movement locus pre-set in an environment to allow prediction of a flow of people within the environment.;SOLUTION: A robot control system 100 includes a central control device 10, a robot 12, and a position detection system 14. The central control device 10 has a flow database 118 for storing information relating to a representative movement locus, uses a large amount of accumulated movement behavior information on people and position history of people (96) within an environment appropriately detected by the position detection system 14 to discriminate a state of flow of people for each representative movement locus, and predicts occurrence, end, continuation and the like of the flow of people in the environment. Then the behavior of the robot 12 is determined on the basis of the information on the flow of people predicted by the central control device 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
