PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an azo pigment which is excellent in durability such as light resistance or heat resistance, as well as color characteristics such as hue, and a pigment dispersion, a colored composition, an ink for inkjet recording, and an azo compound.;SOLUTION: The azo pigment is represented by general formula (1), and a tautomer thereof and salts or hydrates of such compounds are also provided. The pigment dispersion, the colored composition and the ink for inkjet recording use such compounds. Further, the azo compound is represented by formula (1), and a tautomer thereof and salts or hydrates of such compounds are also provided.
