PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function extension program or the like as a program for extending the function of an existing application by using print data, and for easily achieving various function extension without changing the program of the existing application or using any existing driver.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a program for making a computer which operates by an OS, and executes predetermined processing by an application execute the function extension of the application. The program is configured to make the computer execute: a process of acquiring and transmitting to a communication port print data to be output from the application to a driver before the print data are received by the driver; a process of acquiring and transferring the transmitted print data or print data to be output from the application to the communication port before the print data are received by the communication port; and a process of performing function extension to the transferred print data in an application layer, and outputting the processed data to the communication port.
