WATER-RETAINING BODY FOR WATER-SPRAY TYPE CLEANING APPARATUS, WATER-SPRAY TYPE CLEANING APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-spray type cleaning apparatus which is advantageous to enlarge the treatment scale while making the best use of a high treatment efficiency by DHS method.SOLUTION: In the water-spray type cleaning apparatus, a treating water is passed and flowed down through a water-retaining body 4 filled and arranged in a treatment space 21; and an oxygen-containing gas is introduced in the treatment space 21 and gases are discharged from the treatment space 21. Thus the treating water is filtrated and treating objects in the treating water and/or the oxygen-containing gas are subjected to the decomposition treatment by adhered nicrobes of the water-retaining body 4. The treatment space 21 contains cylindrical core materials 41 having shape retentivity capable of forming air-permeable paths 43 inside in the state of being filled and arranged in the treatment space 21; the inner and outer surfaces of the cylindrical core materials 41 have a coated carrier layer 42 composed of a fiber material or a porous material capable of adhering and growing the microbes formed thereon; and the air-permeable path 43 is opened air-permeably in the state of the microbes adhering and growing on the coated carrier layer 42.
