METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SPINAL ANESTHESIA NEEDLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture an anesthesia needle having no risk of damaging the nerve tissue due to excessive advance of the needle after penetrating the arachnoidea.;SOLUTION: A spinal anasthesia needle includes a distal end conically tapered towards a tip at the distal end of a straight tube having a uniform outer diameter, and the entire body of an opening for delivering medical solution is provided at he distal end. The method for manufacturing the spinal anasthesia needle includes: forming the opening by operating a discharge needle of an electric discharge machine at an angle of 20 to 40° with respect to a shaft center of the anesthesia needle. The opening entire body is provided at the conically tapered distal end, so that, after the needle tip punctures the arachnoidea, the opening entire body immediately enters the arachnoidea in a small advancing amount and the return of cerebrospinal fluid is quickly checked, so that there is no risk that the needle is advanced excessively to puncture the nerve tissue.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
