PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: Display units for home use have various screen sizes and the depth and projection amount of a stereoscopic image based on a binocular parallax are determined based on a parallax amount of a horizontal image; therefore when a display size to be displayed changes with the resolution of an image signal constant, a pixel pitch changes with each display size, and the depth and projection amount of the stereoscopic image changes with a display size to be displayed.SOLUTION: By implementing stereoscopic acoustic processing in accordance with screen size information of a display that displays a stereoscopic image, the stereoscopic acoustic reproduction processing with high matching of an image signal with an acoustic signal and higher realism is achieved with an effective calculation amount.
