PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion device using an expandable structure, such as a balloon catheter, for directional expansion of the expandable structure toward or away from a desired direction.;SOLUTION: There is provided a system for directional expansion of the expandable structure within bone, including the expandable structure adapted to guide to the bone and to expand within the bone and an insertion device adapted to guide to the bone on a position adjacent to the expandable structure.
