PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a sheet role capable of preventing the irregularity of the surface of a protective layer from being transferred to an adhesive layer, a sheet roll, a manufacturing method of an optical sheet using the manufacturing method of the sheet role, and a manufacturing method of a display device.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a sheet role having: a lamination step of preparing a laminated sheet including a protective layer disposed on the outermost surface of a laminated sheet in a lamination direction and capable of being separated, a first base material layer, light transmission parts disposed side by side along the surface of the first base material layer and formed so as to be able to transmit light, an optical functional layer having a light absorption part formed between the light transmission parts so as to be able to absorb light, an adhesive layer containing an adhesive, and a second base material layer serving as a base material of the adhesive layer, in this order; and a winding step of winding the laminated sheet into a roll shape, while disposing a spacer in the vicinity of both ends of a width direction of the laminated sheet. A sheet role manufactured by this manufacturing method, a manufacturing method of an optical sheet using the manufacturing method of the sheet role and a manufacturing method of a display device are also provided.
