PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a single crystal of such a size that could not be obtained conventionally, at a melting point or lower of a crystalline material to be a synthesis target or a raw material of the crystalline material.;SOLUTION: A heating device 1 capable of forming a predetermined temperature gradient and keeping the device at a desired temperature for a predetermined period of time and a tubular container 2 heated by a heat source of the heating device 1 are used, a polycrystal material or a starting material 3 (TlFe2Se2) of the raw material of the crystalline material is molded into a cylindrical pellet and placed on a placement part 21 of the tubular container 2. Under a drive power field such as a gravity field where atoms can be moved macroscopically, the cylindrical pellet is plastically deformed at 700°C that is a temperature equal to or lower than the melting point of the starting material 3 and by being held at 700°C for the time sufficient for completing the plastic deformation, thereby producing a large-sized single crystal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
