PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for efficiently producing a composite adhesive having good conductivity by dispersing ultrafine carbon fibers in a 0.2 to 200 nm level in diameter in an emulsion-type adhesive without aggregation.SOLUTION: The process for producing a composite adhesive includes (a) a step of adding ultrafine carbon fibers in a 0.2 to 200 nm level in diameter in an aqueous solution containing a flavonoid-based compound having a sugar chain bonded thereto as a dispersant aid, and thereafter disintegrating the aggregated ultrafine carbon fibers, (b) a step of adding the liquid containing the ultrafine carbon fibers obtained in the (a) step to an aqueous solution of a water-soluble polymer to prepare a dispersion liquid of the ultrafine carbon fibers, and (c) a step of mixing the dispersion liquid of the ultrafine carbon fibers and an emulsion-type adhesive, wherein the average particle diameter of an emulsion of the emulsion-type adhesive is 200 to 1,000 nm.
