PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage and fault of a reduction gear device at low cost, even while an excessive wind power load is applied to a reduction gear device, and to prevent the wobbling of a nacelle and a wind turbine blade caused by a wind in an uncontrolled state.SOLUTION: In the reduction gear device G1 (to G4) used in a wind turbine generator system in which a pinion 24 is attached to an output shaft 84, and the pinion 24 is engaged with a gear arranged at the side of the wind turbine generator system, a single planetary roller reduction mechanism (traction reduction mechanism) 32 for transmitting power by traction drive is arranged between a motor 22 being a drive source of the reduction gear device G1 (to G4) and the output shaft 84 of the reduction gear device G1 (to G4).
