PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for extracting features of a measurement target object from point group data thereof to automatically generate data relating to contours of the target object in a short time.SOLUTION: A point group data processing device comprises: a non-surface area removal unit 101 for, from among point group data in which a two-dimensional image of a measurement target object is associate with three-dimensional coordinate data of plural points constituting the two-dimensional image, removing point group data relating to non-surface areas requiring large calculation load; a surface labeling unit 102 for imparting labels for designating surfaces to point group data after the data of the non-surface areas are removed; and a contour calculation unit 105 for calculating contours of the target object by using local planes based on local areas continuing from the labeled surfaces.
