PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract users seemingly related in business or otherwise to a searching user without requiring voluntary work by any user.;SOLUTION: A social map preparing system architected within a prescribed organization accumulates contents of an access log that represents a history of information items each user has browsed in accessed sites. On the basis of the access log, a first table in which information for identifying each individual user is associated with information for locating the sites accessed by the individual user is prepared. When a search request from a first user is accepted, the first table is searched with information for identifying the first user being used as the search key, a second user having accessed a site accessed with the search key is specified, and information for identifying the specified second user is extracted.
