PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a gain characteristic of a high frequency amplifier.SOLUTION: A distortion signal generation device includes: a divider 5 for outputting at least two divisions of an input original signal to be amplified in the high frequency power amplifier; a distortion generator 9 having a distortion characteristic corresponding to the high frequency power amplifier to output one input original signal output from the divider as adding a distortion signal as an intermodulation distortion component; a detector 17 for detecting the power of the input or output of the distortion generator; a voltage-controlled phase shifter 15 for adjusting the phase of the other original signal output from the divider in accordance with the power detected by the detector to cancel a phase shift generated in the distortion generator in accordance with the power; and a combiner 7 for combining the original signal with the distortion signal added in the distortion generator and the original signal with the phase adjusted in the phase adjuster such that the original signals cancel each other to output the distortion signal selectively.
