PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the fall-down of a partitioning weir 4 during casting by strongly fixing the partitioning weir.;SOLUTION: When constructing the partitioning weir 4 for partitioning an injection chamber 3 and a distribution chamber 2 to a tundish 1 having the injection chamber 3 into which molten steel is injected from a ladle and the distribution chamber 2 in which the molten steel in the injection chamber 3 is injected into a casting mold, the bottom face 4B and one side face 4A of the partitioning weir 4 are made to abut on the inner wall of the tundish, the partitioning weir 4 is fixed in advance by striking a wedge member 30 into the other side face side 4C, and coatings composed of magnesia-quality refractories whose lengths from joints are 50 to 200 mm and whose thicknesses are 10 to 40 mm are filled into the joint 31 between the partitioning weir 4 and the wedge member 30 and the joint 32 between the wedge member 30 and the inner wall of the tundish from both sides of the partitioning weir 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
